Before spending more on advertising, it is usually cheaper to fix what happens after the click. A change to a landing page can move your cost per lead further than doubling the budget, and unlike the budget, the improvement does not have to be paid for again next month.
Fixing the leak is cheaper than filling the bucket faster
Here is the arithmetic that makes this service worth your attention. If your landing page converts two visitors in a hundred and you want twice the enquiries, you have two options. Double the traffic, which doubles the cost. Or get four in a hundred to convert, which costs a project fee once and then keeps paying.
The second option also compounds with everything else. A better converting page makes your Google Ads cheaper per lead, your SEO traffic more valuable, and your social traffic worth measuring. It is the only marketing work that improves every other channel at the same time.
Most UAE businesses never do it, which is why it tends to be the highest-return work available on an established site.
What the audit examines
Does tracking exist and is it correct? The first question, because without reliable conversion data everything after it is opinion. Surprisingly often this is also the whole problem: the enquiries were happening and nobody could see them.
Where exactly do people leave? Funnel analysis in Google Analytics 4 to find the step that loses people, rather than guessing from the overall bounce rate.
What are they doing before they leave? Heatmaps and session recordings. Watching ten real sessions of people failing to find your phone number is more persuasive than any report.
Is the message matched to the source? Someone arriving from an ad about one specific service should land on a page about that service. Mismatch between ad and page is the most common cause of a high bounce rate on paid traffic.
How bad is the form? Field count, mandatory fields that should be optional, error handling, mobile keyboard behaviour, and whether anything is actually submitted when the button is pressed. Broken forms are more common than anyone expects and silently cost everything.
What does it feel like on a phone, on mobile data? Tested on real devices, including with a slow connection, because that is the real condition for much of your traffic.
Is there any reason to trust you? A visitor deciding whether to hand over their number is looking for evidence. Missing trust signals cost conversions on otherwise well-built pages.
The fixes that move the number most often
- Cut the form down. Name and one contact method is usually enough to start a conversation. Every additional field costs submissions, and qualifying can happen on the call.
- Add WhatsApp as a route, prominently. In this market it frequently out-converts the form by a wide margin, because it feels like less of a commitment.
- Say what happens next. A line stating when you reply removes the uncertainty that stops people submitting.
- Make the primary action unmistakable. One obvious thing to do per page. Three competing buttons produce fewer actions than one.
- Put the answer above the fold. What you do, who for, and how pricing works. A visitor hunting for basic information is a visitor leaving.
- Make the phone number tappable and the enquiry route reachable without scrolling on mobile.
- Add the proof you have. Licence, named team, real photographs, specific deliverables, clear process. Not fabricated reviews.
How testing actually works
A test needs enough traffic to produce a trustworthy result. If your page receives a few hundred visitors a month, a formal A/B test cannot reach statistical significance in a reasonable time, and anyone claiming a winner from forty visitors is reading noise.
So the approach depends on your volume. High traffic: proper A/B testing, one variable at a time, run to significance. Moderate traffic: sequential testing, with changes made and measured over defined periods, accepting that conditions vary. Low traffic: no testing. Fix the obvious problems using best practice and session recordings, then revisit testing once volume justifies it.
We tell you which bracket you are in at the audit stage rather than selling you a testing retainer your traffic cannot support.
Frequently asked questions
It varies so much by industry, traffic source and what counts as a conversion that benchmarks are close to useless for decision making. The only comparison that matters is your own page against itself over time. We establish your current baseline first, then measure improvement against it.
For informal improvements based on audit findings and session recordings, a few hundred monthly visitors is enough to find real problems. For formal A/B testing with reliable results, you need considerably more, typically a few thousand visitors to the tested page monthly. We assess this honestly before quoting.
Usually yes, and that is normally where we start. Most gains come from the form, the call to action, the message above the fold, mobile usability and page speed, none of which require a rebuild. A full redesign is recommended only when the structure itself is the obstacle.
Especially then, because every improvement reduces your cost per lead immediately and permanently. Conversion work and ads management are complementary, and running both together is how a paid budget gets materially more efficient rather than just larger.
Fixes to tracking, forms and obvious friction can show within two to four weeks. Formal testing takes longer, because a test has to run long enough to be believable. The audit itself is normally delivered within one to two weeks.
